Polling Disclaimer

Effective: March 2026

6.1 Nature of dvtd Polls

Polls hosted on the dvtd Platform are not scientific surveys, academic research studies, or official public opinion polls unless explicitly identified as such by the poll creator. dvtd polls measure the responses of verified human participants who chose to participate and met the eligibility criteria defined by the poll creator. They are not designed to produce statistically representative samples of any general population.

6.2 What dvtd Verification Means

dvtd's identity verification confirms that each participating voter is a unique, real human individual. It does not confirm that:

  • Participants are representative of any broader population
  • Participants were selected using random or probability sampling methods
  • The sample size is sufficient for statistical inference
  • Participants did not self-select based on prior knowledge of or interest in the poll topic

dvtd verification eliminates bot manipulation and duplicate voting. It does not eliminate participation bias, self-selection bias, sample size limitations, or other factors that affect the statistical validity of survey research.

6.3 Poll Creator Responsibility

Poll creators are solely responsible for the design, framing, and interpretation of their polls. dvtd does not review, validate, endorse, or verify the accuracy, fairness, or representativeness of poll questions or answer options. Poll creators who publish poll results publicly or use them for research, journalism, business decisions, or political purposes are solely responsible for contextualizing results appropriately and ensuring their use complies with applicable professional, ethical, and legal standards.

6.4 Political and Electoral Polling Specific Disclaimer

dvtd poll results are not predictive of electoral outcomes, official referendum results, or government-conducted polling. Any comparison of dvtd poll results to electoral outcomes, official polls, or scientific surveys should be made with appropriate caution and professional judgment. Media organizations, political campaigns, and advocacy groups using dvtd data for public reporting or political communications are responsible for ensuring their representations of dvtd poll results comply with applicable journalism standards and election law requirements.

6.5 dvtd's Role

dvtd does not validate, interpret, endorse, or take any position on the subject matter or outcomes of polls hosted on the Platform. dvtd is a neutral technology infrastructure provider. The views expressed through poll results are those of the verified voters who participated and do not represent the views of dvtd Technologies Inc.

6.6 Data Accuracy

dvtd maintains technically immutable vote records and real-time result calculations. dvtd makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of result displays but does not warrant that results are free from technical error. In the event of a technical discrepancy, dvtd's database records are the authoritative source.
